Dr Who in Dubai
Byrne Equipment Rental were on set with the makers of Dr Who in February, to supply them with portaloos, a generator and cable.
Producer Tracie Simpson said that the locations in Dubai "are a perfect match for writer Russell T Davies's vision of the episode and we expect to film some incredible scenes while we are here".
As well as it being a pleasure to work alongside Central Films and the BBC, the producer took the time to write to Byrne, a letter of appreciation, "for the fantastic service Byrne provided for the Dr Who TV shoot at Margham" he went on to say, "the service was way above the standards normally experienced in Dubai...thank you...!".
The BBC had to rewrite the script after the bus which was to be used in scenes, was badly dropped by a crane, as it was being uploaded at Dubai port.
